Pomegranate, 70% Chocolate, Blackberry, Sangiovese

If you love Kenyan coffees, you've come to the right place. This stunning peaberry crop comes from the Teremuka Estate, a gifted patch of land set at staggering altitudes in Kenya's Nakuru region. It's a peaberry expression of Kenya's most famed varietals: SL-28, SL-34, and Ruiru 11. It's wonderfully washed and packs every bit of bright, clean splendor that characterizes the washed method.

The cup serves up a massive note of pomegranate. It's bright, tart, and juicy; an experiential stand-in for splitting a ripe pomegranate and devouring its seeds. Next, comes dark chocolate, the 70% variety stitched stunningly against the fruit. The flavors pop on the cool. A flash of blackberry gives to a coda that's bracing in a way that recalls a glass of Sangiovese wine.

This one is Kenya doing what Kenya does best. Brew it as pour over for crystal clear cups, or sink it in a press pot to generate unctuous heft. If you're a fan of the origin, you're going to love it.
