Kenyan coffees are like wines: acidic, bright, and packed with tannins that lend the cup a wonderful, dry quality. It's an iconic profile, and our goal in sourcing Kenyan coffees is to find a cup that checks all of its boxes. This coffee does just that, and then some.

Composed entirely of peaberry beans (dense little mutant spheres) this coffee comes from Nyeri, one of the finest growing regions in Kenya. The grapefruit here pounds like a drum. It's mountainous in scope, suffusing the cup with solar bright tones. Alongside the zest, you'll catch spices: clove, cinnamon stick, cardamon, all diced into splinters that could lounge beside the fruit in a bag of orange spice tea. There's wine-like acidity at play, fresh Beaujolais, and a touch of pomegranate tannins. The profile pulls off a unique Kenyan magic trick: it lands the acid and citrus without being sour, and it pairs its tea-like qualities with a thick, brooding body.
