Berry Jam, Dried Mango, Chai

This one just landed—a fruit bomb dry process/natural with razor sharp notes and spice to spare.

Hailing from the Guji Zone and featuring a mix of heirloom varieties, this lot dishes classic Ethiopia vibes. Local villagers grew cherries at elevations reaching 2,300 meters, then handed them off for processing at a community station. Cherries were first floated for ripeness, then hand-sorted for defects, and the sorting continued throughout a 2–3 week drying phase on raised beds.

Berries are the heart of this coffee, a bit jammy, a bit piquant. There's a sense of spice to them, which nods to Guji's penchant for aromatics. Behind the berry is a wonderful dose of mango. It has a touch of a dry quality, with crystallized sugars and resonant sweetness. Finally, acknowledging Guji's signature aromatic style, chai rounds out the finish. And something about the earthy, spice tones works shockingly well with the piquant berries and sweet mango. It's a killer brew from a killer region in the world's most renowned origin. Get after it before it's gone.
