Ethiopia Guji Shakiso
My Friend's CoffeeMango, Mandarin, Jasmine Pearl Tea
This one goes out to all the washed Ethiopia fanatics. It's crystal clear, thoroughly unobstructed, a fresh slate of transparency. The cup is infinitely clean, with razor sharp notes. It's a Grade 1 lot hailing from garden farmers in Guji, Shakiso. It was grown at elevations near 2,000 MASL, and it's got the heirloom spirit you only find in Ethiopia.
Processed via a traditional washed method, the cup brews bright and fruit-forward. Mango looms large as a West Egg mansion. You catch it in fresh and dried form. Mandarin also comes knocking, and it adds delightful zip. And because you can't have a washed Ethiopia without florals, jasmine tidies the finish. It's a knee-buckling cup, and a reminder that Ethiopia's exceptionalism extends beyond the natural category.
