Red Wine, Cherry Juice, Spiced Cranberry, Brown Sugar

This stunner hails from one of Kenya's best-known regions, Nyeri. It was grown at impressive heights, hand-sorted for ripeness, and expertly processed via a traditional washed method. It's a peaberry lot, and from sip-one, it reminds the drinker of just how incredible Kenyan brews can be.

Red wine is the big note here; think Italian Sangiovese. It packs tartaric texture and infinite complexity. There's cherry juice in the middle, which sets the cup on a see-saw between tart and sweet. Cooling brings out spiced cranberry, and the finish rides a wave of brown sugar that's downright wonderful. It's totally on-brand and a worthy purchase for the Kenyan enthusiast and beyond.
